Title:「Introduction to the homogenization theory」
Abstract:
Homogenization is a technical word that aims at giving a proper description of materials
that are composed of several constituents, intimately mixed together. In PDE direction,
this technique is developed to treat the equation with periodic or random coffcients.
In probability, similar problem arises as the random walk on random conductance, and
is strongly related to the central limit theorem. This lecture gives a gentle introduction
and aims to cover the following basis:
1. background and motivations;
2. two-scale expansion ansatz and effective coffcient;
3. application to the random walk on random conductance.
