In this talk, I will present a survey of known results on Long range percolation(LRP). This model is a variant of the well-known nearest-neighbor Bernoulli percolation, but it is known to have some aspects that are better understood than the nearest-neighbor model. It is also known to exhibit very interesting behaviors, such as discontinuous phase transitions when the space is one-dimensional.
