We study the normalizability and non-normalizability of the Gibbs measures associated with multivariate version of $P(¥Phi)_2$ quantum field theory on the torus. Our approach is based on the so-called variational method, which was introduced by Barashkov and Gubinelli. We also consider some other related models.
