It is well known that there is often a congruence between Hecke eigenvalues of Hecke eigenforms. In this talk, I will explain the methods of the study, focusing on the vector-valued Mizumoto-Kurokawa congruence. I will also introduce a reinterpretation of differential operators on Siegel modular forms by the representation theory.
