Faltings proved the Shafarevich conjecture for proper hyperbolic curves. In this talk, I give a proof of the higher dimensional analogue of this conjecture, that is, the Shafarevich conjecture for proper hyperbolic polycurves. This is a joint work with Teppei Takamatsu.
