Lusztig defined certain representations of affine Hecke algebras called periodic modules using some periodic hyperplane arrangements and constructed canonical bases for them. Also he gave a geometric interpretation using equivariant $K$-theory of Slodowy varieties. I will explain an analogue of such combinatorics for hypertoric varieties and give some geometric and representation theoretic applications.
