Gushel-Mukai varieties of dimension 4 and 6 are certain kind
of Fano varieties that behave like K3 surfaces. In this talk, I will
present my recent joint work with Ben Moonen on the study of algebraic
cycles on such varieties and in particular sketch a proof of the Tate
conjecture for them.
