Abstract:
The Potts model is one of the most famous model of statistical physics. It can be interpreted as a model of random coloring of the vertices of the lattice. In these two lectures, we discuss the phase transition of this model on the square lattice. In particular, we will focus on geometric representations for this model and their applications for the determination of the order of the phase transition.
