In this talk we consider a $p$-local and stable version of the cohomological rigidity problem for quasitoric manifolds. We prove that if two quasitoric manifolds of dimension $\leq 2p^2-4$ have isomorphic cohomology rings, then they have the same $p$-local stable homotopy type.
