概要

Let p be a prime number which is congruent to 1 modulo 4. If P is a prime ideal over p of Z[i], there exists a unique Z_p extension of Q(i) which ramifies over P. We discuss results of the joint work with J. Lamplugh regarding class numbers of intermediate extensions of this Z_p extension.
