After a brief overview of recent progress on the study
of the space of embeddings (especially the space of
long embeddings), we see that the Haefliger invariant
which classifies long embeddings in dimensions (6k, 4k-1)
satisfies a similar formula to Lin-Wang's for the Vassiliev
invariant of order two.
