This course introduces analytic and computational approaches to
modeling interfacial dynamics. The primary techniques will focus on
front-tracking and level set methods. We will develop the mathematical
frameworks underlying these methods and examine their practical
computational implementations. The course will also introduce
threshold dynamics algorithms for curvature-dependent motion, along
with advanced topics involving minimizing movement schemes for
constrained interfacial motions. Current research directions and
potential generalizations will also be discussed.
