 APPLIED MATH GROUP

Welcome to the HP of Applied Math Group!  Applied mathematics bridges the world of pure mathematics and the world of natural phenomena investigated by engineering, biology, medicine and other scientific fields. In our group we put emphasis on cooperation among diverse fields, and employing the discernment particular to mathematics, we try not only to find ways to solve various scientific problems, but also to extract new and interesting mathematical problems to unravel. We cordially invite anyone interested in participating in this expedition!

Topics

  • "Math Clinic"
In our Applied Math Group at Kyoto University we offer math consultations to researchers accross all disciplines.
At present, as the first step in the project, we accept consultations within the MACS educational programme only from researchers or graduate students from the Graduate School of Science but we plan to extend our services in the future. See more here (Japanese only).
  • Kyoto University Applied Mathematics Seminar
At the moment, the seminar is held only online. Registration is required, so if you wish to participate, please contact us. See seminar website for the program of upcoming seminars.
