How to get to ICTA 2007

We uploaded three instructions for participants of the conference. See also Transport Information page.

Transport Informaion

Transport Informaion page is updated. Practical information such as, arrival information, local transportation, conference registration desk, etc. will be posted soon.

Information for preparing your talks

All the rooms used for talks of ICTA2007 are equipped with a blackboard, a beamer (computer projector), and a visual presenter.

You can use transparencies (OHP films) with a visual presenter, but you may have better effect with the visual presenter, if you use texts and images on printing papers, or just hand-written notes.

For those who would like to use a computer projector for your presentation, please note that we can accept ONLY a pdf file for a computer equipped in the conference rooms. If you'd like to use other software such as PowerPoint, you are requested to bring your own PC with the software installed.

New Immigration Procedures

We would like to inform you about new immigration procedures taking effect on November 20, 2007. Starting from this date, all foreign nationals who apply for entry into Japan will be required to be fingerprinted and photographed (facial photographs) by means of special devices, and then interviewed by immigration inspectors.

The new procedures will apply to all foreign nationals upon their entry into Japan, including the case where foreign nationals with re-enter permits enter into Japan, except for the persons eligible for exemption (whose list can be found in the poster).

If foreign nationals who are not eligible for exemption from this requirement refuse to submit their fingerprints or photographs, they will be denied entry to Japan and ordered to leave.
